BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO) – North Dakota Attorney General Drew Wrigley has joined a lawsuit against the US Dept. of Education over its new rule interpreting Title IX.
The lawsuit also includes Arkansas Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota along with an Arkansas high school athlete. Title XI protects and promotes opportunities for women and girls in education and sports.
The rule under challenge from President Biden and the Department of Education requires schools and universities to allow transgender women onto women and girls’ sports teams.
The lawsuit says the new requirement undermines safety and privacy, and robs young female athletes of opportunities.
