In the heart of the Middle East, tensions between Israel and Iran have reached a boiling point.

Iran launched hundreds of drones and missiles in a retaliatory strike after a suspected Israeli attack on its embassy compound in Syria weeks back. Most of the drones and missiles were intercepted by Israel.

If I give you a breif then Iran did something new by attacking Israel directly on Sunday. Before, they usually used other groups to do their fighting for them in the Middle East. Now, everyone is watching to see if Israel will hit back with more military action.

Let me inform you here that On Sunday, the Israeli leaders couldn’t agree on what to do about Iran’s big attack over the weekend. A report from The Times of Israel says that while they wanted to hit back at Iran, they couldn’t decide when or how big the response should be. They talked about it for more than three hours.

A top Israeli security official said they’re thinking about different ways to respond to Iran. This could include cyberattacks, hitting Iran’s oil fields, and targeting their government buildings and important symbols. But they haven’t decided yet, and these might not be part of their plan. The official mentioned that Israel has done cyber attacks on Iran’s gas stations before, and they’re thinking about doing it again.

While Western diplomats and US President Joe Biden have reportedly told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu they will not support further retaliation, some analysts suggest that last night’s strikes may be part of a wider ploy to draw the US, Israel’s close ally, into a broader regional war.

Though, Several officials said on Sunday that there will be some sort of payback. This not only brings Israel’s ongoing tension with Iran into the open but also raises the chance of a bigger, direct military clash that might involve the US and other nations.

Even if Iran’s attack doesn’t cause an instant increase in fighting, it basically starts a new chapter for the Middle East.
