The best thing about this story is that all of its ingredients—Disney cruise, rescue at sea, suspected hacker, Anonymous—fit together, but not in the way you'd expect. It begins with a cyber attack on a Boston Children's Hospital and ends with Martin Gottesfeld under arrest in Miami after being rescued at sea by a Disney Cruise ship. So let's start at the beginning:

In April 2014, hackers took down the hospital's network for "at least seven days" according to an arrest affidavit obtained by NBC News. In October of that year, the FBI began looking for Gottesfeld, the Massachusetts-based man whom the feds claim posted "a YouTube video calling, in the name of Anonymous, for action against the local hospital in response to its treatment of Justina Pelletier."

Fast forward to 2016, and Gottesfeld and his wife suddenly vanish. The suspect's relatives and boss were worried, so the FBI began trying to hunt them down. According to NBC News:

Then the FBI learned from one of their agents in the Bahamas that the couple were on a Disney cruise ship."Gottesfeld and his wife were not passengers on the ship but rather had been picked up in a sailboat, not far from Cuba," the papers state. "The sailboat had run into trouble and Gottesfeld and his wife had placed a distress call, to which the cruise ship responded."

The arrest papers don't say where the couple was heading, but it does say they had luggage and three laptop computers.

Never forget: Mickey Mouse is a rat.
